Fairytales 04:07
2020 in the mirror what a waste close our hearts and turn away visage ethos is pretentious incessant blah de blah and nonsense close our minds to reality retreat to an inner sanctuary past conquest future glories we believe in fairy stories there are no pixies in the flowers there are no gnomes on the path there are no leprechauns near rainbows we believe there's fairies on the grass death and money is the story in a hurry while our neighbour's saving lives today the whole world is a document and our name's in every chapter there's no comfort in the news nothing we can relate to you don't have to believe in fairies to love the fairytales there are no pixies in the flowers there are no gnomes on the path there are no leprechauns near rainbows we believe there's fairies on the grass

Pyrenees 03:35
i made all these plans but spent the whole night looking for the place that you stood in up down back forth walking the street you lived on the street i stayed on twisting a city of romance clues are so sparse a windmill that has probably now gone colours so pure within the oldest debutant revealed after a century hidden away it was one of a series and now its one of mine about trying to see the world through your sombre eyes peasants cabarets urban rural life buried mythical montmartre clues are so sparse a windmill that has probably now gone colours so pure within the oldest debutant revealed after a century hidden away

You climb the ladder but won't see me I've disappeared under the sea Rain falling down 24 Playing guitar 'til my finger's sore Haven't had a bite for a number of hours TV's great and it's feeding the flowers Let's have a swig of the vintage Cider Saturday's here and it's bacon tomorrow What a weird time it is Hoping there's an end to this Lock the doors and throw away the keys And pray we make it through COVID 2020 Months of nothing but strange dreams Where everything around falls apart at the seams Pass me a glass of the good stuff Coz I never really know when I've quite had enough Read my palm it can be read in two ways But it always changes on different days Luck of the draw so draw me another Write me more rubbish and I'll blab to your Mother I'm sick of it all and I'm sick of myself Fed up of feeling I've been left on the shelf But I've got me a safe and warm place Away from hysteria and the Track and the Trace Tell me a joke and I'll tell you another About the wise men drowning deep under Lies and untruths that are sold for a buck While the machine we're all part of is stuck in the mud Let's pray we make it through COVID 2020....

Keep Hold 03:44
i just want to come over to yours and hang out for an hour or two i don’t care if we are noisy or quiet as long as i am close to you a humble abode is what i want today its only down the road but it seems so far away keep hold on this one my mate we’ve been locked up for what seems so long and i’ve forgotten how to be but you send something and my mind sparks and maybe it can set us free a maudlin dirge is what i want to play you’re only down the road but it seems so far away keep hold on this one my mate the things we love will bring us close even when we’re miles apart the things we’ve done are crazy and wild implanting smiles on my heart our unwritten code unspoken to say however long the road you're never that far away

Alcohol 02:39
Selfishness causing arguments Wasted days in a drunken haze Another hangover I could do without Making holes in my bank account Alcohol ain't doing nowt for me Oblivion is on the horizon One more stupid lie There's no reason why And you cannot see that it's ruining your life Wrecking your world and twisting the knife Alcohol ain't doing nowt for me

Pyjamical 03:13

at first there was just one then another came along and before we knew it they were twenty seven strong when i look into the sky i feel the tears stinging my eye cos there’s a star that shouldn’t be there and it’s shining so bright in the night how is that for unkindness throw a penny in the pool supposed to make a wish come true then tearing off the plaster you were due in twenty one we went in to make a song she screamed murder and he said yeah but didn’t know you were gone when i look into my eye feel the tears in the sky cos there’s a star shining bright but it shouldn’t be there tonight how is that for unkindness throw a penny in the pool supposed to make a wish come true then tearing off the plaster

Black Army 03:02
i’ve been sentenced to die in the court of the king for a crime i didn’t do but they still want to watch me swing walking to the gallows i tell them i’m innocent but they won’t hear my plea the king turns and shakes his head and is shouting no mercy walking to the gallows swinging from the gallows now i die

The Robin 02:50
there's a robin keeps coming to say hello to me saw her several times last week It's told of old that it's someone who has passed recognised her didn’t need to ask her name is carlton carlton carlton now the robin keeps coming to brighten up my day wonder what she’s trying to say a bittersweet treat brings a tear to each eye one sad one happy but still i cry for carlton carlton carlton and now there’s a little cat who comes around here too he’s got the sweetest cheesy grin reminds me of you sits off in the sun all day and doesn’t move too far i’m surprised he don’t smoke a fat cigar and the robin is going too soon she flies away but i know i’ll see her again to tell her of the weather and that she is missed we’ll reunite if we make the list carlton carlton carlton

There was only room for two in the Annex of Love But two became three after nine months An evening of celebration, a joyful event Made even more special by the gift they were sent. There was only room for two in the Annex of Love Sweet cherry vodka bottles of fizz Dancing all night until their feet ached And back to their annex and much love to make There was only room for two in the Annex of Love All designed in the stars up above They had to move quick as their friend approached Perfectly timed and no need for reproach So here's to the two in the Annex of Love As best friends go they're built of great stuff Fireworks and rockets have nothing on The magic of friends and what dreams may come It all happened in the Annex of Love....

a horse running free across the desert as the sun sets no boundaries no stop sign freedom freedom freedom you are free now the horse has a trailer to carry folk around the horse has wings to get them off the ground lightfoot you are free the horse running wild across the sand dunes under a full moon no stop for miles no respite freedom freedom freedom you are free now the horse has a trailer to carry folk around the horse has wings to get them off the ground lightfoot you are free now
